The Fourteen Meridian Points Model is a three-dimensional teaching model for the whole body made based on the theory of meridians and acupoints in traditional Chinese medicine. It fully marks the fourteen major meridians in the human body and the locations of their respective acupoints, including the twelve regular meridians and the Ren and Du meridians. This model is made to the scale of a real person, with the meridians and acupoint distribution clearly visible. Usually, different colors or numbers are used to distinguish them, making it convenient for learners to identify. Its significance lies primarily in presenting the meridian system of traditional Chinese medicine in a direct and intuitive way, making the abstract positions of acupoints concrete through three-dimensional forms, and helping students quickly understand the laws of meridian circulation and the relative relationships among acupoints.
Secondly, the model provides a safe and repeatable platform for the training of clinical skills such as acupuncture and massage. Learners can demonstrate the location of acupoints, the direction and depth of acupuncture on the model, reducing the risks of direct operation with real people. In addition, this model can also be used for the dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine culture and popular science education, enabling the public to have a more intuitive understanding of the theory of meridians and acupoint health care in traditional Chinese medicine. The Fourteen Meridian point model is widely used in traditional Chinese medicine colleges and universities, rehabilitation institutions and health education, and it is an important teaching and popular science tool connecting traditional Chinese medicine theory with clinical practice.
It is 84cm tall. One side shows the muscles and cutaneous nerves, while the other side shows the fourteen meridians, acupoints and points outside the meridians.
