Infantile cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a key skill for saving lives when an infant experiences sudden cardiac arrest or breathing difficulties. In order to effectively enhance the first aid capabilities of emergency personnel and the public, infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation simulation manikins, as training tools, have become an important part of first aid education. The following is the standard procedure for the operation of the infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation manikin.
I. Assessing the infant's Response
First of all, ensure environmental safety. When approaching a baby, gently pat its shoulder and loudly call out the baby's name. If the baby shows no reaction, call the emergency number (120) immediately for help and inform professional medical personnel.
2. Check your breathing
Observe whether the baby's chest rises and falls, bring your ear close to the baby's mouth and nose, and listen for any breathing sounds. If an infant does not breathe normally or stops breathing, cardiopulmonary resuscitation should be prepared.
3. Open the airway
Support the baby's head with one hand and gently tilt it back to ensure the airway is unobstructed. Avoid excessive backward tilting to prevent neck injuries.
4. Perform artificial respiration
Cover the baby's mouth and nose completely with your mouth and perform two effective artificial breaths. Each breath should last for about one second to ensure that the baby's chest has a distinct rise and fall.
5. Perform external chest compressions
External chest compression is an important part of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. When operating on the manneken, place two index fingers in the center of the baby's chest and press to a depth of one-third of the baby's chest. After each press, the pressure should be completely released to avoid applying it too deeply or too shallowly.
After every 30 compressions, perform 2 artificial breaths, and repeat this cycle. The ratio of compression to breathing is 30:2.
Six. Continuously perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Before the emergency personnel arrive, continue to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation until the baby resumes normal breathing or the emergency personnel take over.
Through the training of the infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation simulation manikin, emergency personnel can practice and master the operation process in a realistic scene, enhancing their emergency response capabilities. Correct cardiopulmonary resuscitation can not only increase the survival rate of infants but also save lives at critical moments.
